Arbe Garbe Sonoma County White Blend 2017

$32

93 Points                                             One of our favorite new white discoveries of the year!  A delicious blend that we highly recommend. 93 Points Robert Parker: "The Arbe Garbe is a blend of Malvasia, Tocai and Ribolla Gialla. This is an exotic fruit cocktail of a wine with gorgeous aromatics of mango, caramelized melons, honeysuckle, apricot, a touch of pineapple, strawberry and even cherry notes, making for an intense, round and juicy wine. It is an intriguing wine that merits serious attention from readers." 92 Points Antonio Galloni (Vinous): "The White Wine Sonoma County is absolutely gorgeous. Sweet, floral aromatics lead to apricot, lemon confit, jasmine and mint. Beautifully perfumed throughout, the 2015 offers a compelling interplay of exotic fruit, lifted aromatics and pliant texture. Not surprisingly, it has much in common with the white blends of Friuli. The 2015 is all class." Arbe Garbe winemakers Letizia and Enrico Maria Bertoz make white wines in the style of the great white wines of their native Friul, with a little California flair.

Rich, layered, and complex. Golden fruit — gold, baked apples, pineapple, tangerine, Meyer lemons, Peaches — with dried flowers, beesewax, and hints of dried herbs on the finish. Had with lobster rolls.
