Sweet, floral aromatics lead to apricot, lemon confit, jasmine and mint. Beautifully perfumed throughout, the 2015 offers a compelling interplay of exotic fruit, lifted aromatics and pliant texture. Not surprisingly, it has much in common with the white blends of Friuli. The 2015 is all class." Oooo baby. Floral and seductive on the nose. Perfumed; jasmine, lime blossom, lavender, poached pear, candied citrus, nectarine, grapes, sweet herbs, cream, a kiss of honey. Palate starts out with juicy fruit character, then suddenly moves to pith, wet stones, olive, and a savory element that I find in so many Friuli-blends with Ribolla. While grippy and enticing there’s a richness on the mouthfeel that makes this wines feel so classy, very soft approach with the oak here. 45 Malvasia Blanca, Ribolla Gialla 30, 25 Friulano.
