Araujo Estate Alianza Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2011

$79.98

Rare new release from Araujo. Limited. The pedigree in this Bordeuax-blend is similarly exquisite, as the fruit was again sourced from the estate Eisele vineyard and two other sites in St. Helena and Oakville.  This diversity is a boon to winemaker Nigel Kinsman, with consultant Francoise Peschon, as it enables more options during the blending process, permitting them to craft a wine that is truly elegant and approachable now. Essentially, this is a Napa Valley Bordeaux-blend, made the Araujo way. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec, and 5% each Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Juicy red fruits, graphite, trail dust, black licorice and baking spice jump out in the endless list of aromatics, and the silkiness on the palate is balanced with a burst of refreshing, balanced acidity and Eisele’s renowned minerality.  500 cases.
