Accendo Cellars Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2014

$49.99

Rare new white from Araujo WInery.  One of Napa's best new Sauvignon Blancs. 2014 marks the second vintage for Bart and Daphne Araujo's new winery, Accendo Cellars. Heading the winemaking team is longtime winemakers Francoise Peschon and their viticulturist, Steve Matthiasson.  The entire Araujo team is back fashioning an even smaller, more deliberate production of wine. The 2014 Accendo offers elegance and sophistication in the glass and drinks like a Graves. On the palate, "a mineral vein reminiscent of wet stone provides structure for the fruit and floral components. Full bodied and round, the wine exhibits great range and definition, with its firm backbone, lively acidity and persistent finish.

My ideal of Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp, with subtle oak. Tastes like a dinner part you're crashing where you don't belong. Fuck the upper class.
