Took about six hours to open up, beautiful pretty red cherry fruit and dusty fine tannins

The golden standard of Sangiovese. 1008 A little rounder in the mid-palate but absolutely delicious.

Still young, but great after 2 hours.

Blinded on this wine and it's still unmistakably "it" - still sad about Manetti's opinions about humanity.

@ Dig Wine SF. Pergole Torte 2008—Wonderfully balanced and superbly fresh. Gravelly, sour cherry fruit. Ripe fruit and tannin, great acid. The wine is sweet and balanced and will drink wonderfully out of the gates it seems. And for the next 10+ years. Aroma fills the air more dramatically than the others. Nothing offputting about any lower ripeness here. Seems to be more lightly extracted and already shows its wonderful femininity. Perhaps like the best '07 Burgundy, these Pergole Torte wines all show an incredible purity and gentleness. Gorgeous.
