Intense black and red fruit indicative of cooler climate and high altitude, luscious nose with spice and bramble, oak, smokey, decent acidity and tannic without necessarily screaming for food. My kind of Malbec.

I’m really getting into Malbecs from Argentina. I paid $40 for this bottle and it is as good as any $200 bottle of cab I’ve had to date. I purchased it from Wine.com. Buttery smoky dark berry in the beginning followed by silky blueberry pie. The mid-palate has lots of graphite and oak . And the very dry finish kicks in with tart apricot driving my palate wild.

Massive wine! Chocolate, vanilla, and blackberry on the nose. Definitely drinking young. Lots of oak on the palate and the high OH tames down with air and time. Thick wine with a medium plus finish. Not my style, but decent value.

Fruit-forward, very full bodied and a bit acidic. Peppery, spicy. Tannic and structured. Great if you are into big, bold wines. Needed to breathe a bit.
