The 2015 Brunello di Montalcino is remarkably pretty, showing rosy florals with pretty red fruits, cedar dust, and crushed stone minerality. On the palate, soft textures give way to zesty red berry and mineral tones, as savory spices and fine tannins settle upon the senses, and the 2015 Caparzo gains volume and sweetness in the glass. The finish is long yet fresh, with a blend of acid, fruit, and tannin which leaves a truly balanced impression. (Eric Guido, Vinous, April 2020)

Dense dark cherries, woody spices, dried flowers, slight drying but fine tannins to finish. Nice with a pork rágu

Standard bearer for Brunello. Like most this needs an hour plus decant plus serving temperature around 68 degrees. High maintenance but worth it.

This is a easy to drink Tuscan wine that is well balanced and great with cheese.

Tart cherries, orange peel, raspberry jam and a dirt note on the nose. Smooth and middle weight on the palate, with a spicy note. Short finish. A good Brunello, not quite as hefty as you usually see.

[Tasted on August 4, 2020 at Oceana in Santa Monica] Cherry and plum fruit with tar, tobacco, earth, spice and licorice. Another fine vintage from Caparzo. Great QPR.

Red fruit and leather in the nose. Perfect balance between fruit, oak, tannins, acidity. On the lighter side overall, and elegant. Yummy.
