January Wednesday Wine Committees are always a great as the red wines are required to be 11yrs old, making all of the reds 2008 vintage. 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine were served today, all blind. I was one of the only people to guess this as Cali Chardonnay, though I thought it was Sonoma. Very light and pale in color. Little acid. Touch of lemon tart and cashew on the nose with a fairly round mid palate. Drink these soon.

V17. Nice. Refined extracts. Soft creme brûlée nose. Creamy, tropical and apricot fruit. Soft oaky finish. Extracts magnify at room temp.

Loads of apple aromas and flavors. Hints of lemon curd, toast, and vanilla. Oak is light, which keeps the wine refreshing. Acid is balanced.
