Michael was nice enough to open a 14. This is in a shutdown phase and has showed much better upon release. The fruits are a nice mix of black and lean more red. It’s ripe and bright. Amazing florals & acidity. Great balance always with Seven Stones. Blackberries, dark cherries, cherries, strawberries w/ shades of blueberries. Cola, soft soils and volcanics. Bright red florals and beautiful finish and acidity.

Seven Stones was the wine of this market visit to Napa. For me, it is the very definition of why I drink wine. Great fruit that is not overworked and is the Webster’s Dictionary of elegance, even at this young age. On the nose; beautiful dark & medium red cassis. Ruby in style with amazing florals. Blackberries, dark cherries, raspberries & blue fruit mix. The red florals are so engaging, They possessed me for quite sometime before getting to tasting the wine. Soft baking spices with understated vanilla. The body was medium full. Tannins unbelievably soft, silky and elegant for such a young wine. The fruits picked at the perfect ripeness. Such elegance! Creamy and ruby fruits of; cherries, dark cherries, creamy raspberries and wafting blue fruits. Soft spices, dry crushed rock powder, delicate volcanic minerals, touch herbaceous, whiff of black olive, dry soils, beautiful red roses and violets. The structure firm yet delicate as was the tension. The length and balance in perfect harmony. The long, polished finish simply amazing. Especially, in a wine this young. Photos of; the property with the seven stones from Yosemite that are held together by gravity and weight 100,000 pounds, and two other artworks from the owners amazing art collection and the view from their terrace.

Another Dallas loss equals another great bottle, this Entire coaching staff should be fired immediately, don’t even wait until the end of the game. But it all starts with Jerry

Not ready to go yet. Has all the bones and has great structure, but has a lot of astringency on the finish. Black, purple and blue fruits. Finishes with stiff oak tannin but had a decent amount of black pepper spice on the finish as well. This wine was very pleasant to drink, and by the time I got around to it I think that it had been open for about 3 hours or so which definitely did help. Still, I think the best years of this wine are at least 4-5 years ahead, and think this one will drink well for 10-15 years.

Only a 2014 but begins with blueberry pie, black currant jam, blackberry, dark chocolate. Full bodied highlighting velvety full texture.
