Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits and toasty oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and plum flavors with garden herb notes, cacao, tobacco and toasty tones from 18 months of oak aging. Full ripe tannins you can bite into, long finish ending with fruit and an earthy smoky spice character. Nice! Will age!

Not a typical Chianti IMO and not sure if it was doing a blind tastes test I would ever guess Chianti. That being said it’s a super drinkable wine that like most wines, gets better as it sits. Enjoyable at the first sip and even more so at the last! This might be a good introduction to Chianti for first-timers.

Another solid vintage of this consistent Chianti Classico. Dark garnet color with a ruby core. Dark cherry aromas with hints of cola and cedar. Pronounced black cherry in the mouth with additional notes of mushroom, tobacco and iodine. Nice hint of smoke and oak on the very long finish. Medium bodied with well structured tannins. Juicy with bright acidity. Well balanced. Thanks for opening this one, Keith S!

Deep ruby hue. Aromas of cherry, earthy, fennel, honey, leather, pepper, raspberry, and smoke. Very soft and smooth on the palate, with continuing sour cherry on backend. Incredibly complex bouquet and also easy to drink. Drinkable now and for the future.
