Oak. Dark berries. Hint of vanilla. The bottle is worth it for the label alone. Red today for Portugal.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Selection lifts out of the glass with tons of sheer intensity. Inky dark red cherry, mocha, cedar, spice and licorice are pushed front and center. This mid-weight, supple Cabernet has so much to offer. It’s a terrific introduction to the Raymond range. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2021)

94% Cabernet Sauvignon with the balance made up of Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Deep (almost purple) color. Aromas and flavors of ripe blackberry and black currant. Hints of tobacco, dried herbs, black licorice and baking spices. Lots of vanilla on the very long finish. Lush, fruit forward and bold. Nice texture and firm tannins. Thank You For Sharing, James W.

Deep purple. Nose: overripe raspberry, light vegetal bell pepper note, slight pie/pastry. Spicy. Palate: soft texture, med finish, supple dark fruits, dark chocolate, tart and spicy. Pepper. Med plus tannins, med acidity. Dry. Well made but not my preference.

My first thought is this smells like spicy plum. Big and bold nose. My first taste brought intense, fruit, spicy tobacco. Sweet at the front with a big bold flavorful finish.

Dark ruby color. Nose and palate of dark fruit -raspberry cherry currant and a hint of vanilla. Very smooth. And the velvet label. This is a great Cabernet flying below the radar
