Blend of Touriga National (50%), Tinta Roriz (20%), Touriga Franca (25%) and Sousao (5%). Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of dark berry fruit, black tea and dried oregano. The complex palate is full of cooked black cherry/berry/plum/raspberry fruit, balsamic vinegar, black olives, baking spices and a hint of iodine/blood. Light touch of oak on the finish. The tannins are soft but there is some noticeable heat. Quite full bodied. A bit tight right out of the bottle so give this one a decant. Bold but a bit overly rustic.

Pretty much as expected! Dark purple color. Restrained nose of oak and blackberry. Wine was tight but opened up and paired nicely with our steaks. The texture is the highlight as it is pure velvet. Lacked depth and fruit, but not terrible.
