[Tasted on February 14, 2020 at Water Grill in Santa Monica, California] Raspberry fruit with cinnamon spice, and hints of orange and graphite. Bracing acidity, bordering on tartness. Less fruit forward and more Burgundian in style than 2015 vintage, which was more fruit driven.

Always enjoy Purple Hands Pinots but this vintage of Cody Wright’s Estate Vineyard version was not my favorite. Fruit was not as dominant as prior vintages and body was extremely light. Wine was a bit weak and watery. My disappointment is most likely due to my high expectations of this producer.

We had the 2017 Vintage on 6/3/23. A real good PN. Nice mouth feel. Red fruit. Good finish. Would easily buy more
