Dark ruby with a hint of brown. Slight translucency. On the nose, cherry, currants, prune, spice, leather and vanilla. On the palate, cherry, prune, strawberry, vanilla, spice/pepper, anise, minerals, smoked oak, medium body. Tannins still strong but do not inhibit a long fruity finish. $60 at B-21.
