Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Best on Day 2. The 2019 pours a pale garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Morello cherries, red roses, tangerine, pomegranate, talcum powder, dried sage, truffle, and dried stony earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. A lovely expression of 2019 Barbaresco. Drink now with patience and through 2049.

First time tasting the ‘19 vintage, and the Produttori edged out one of my fave under the radar barolistas this early on. Maybe because it released sooner? Both red fruited with sour cherries and elegant tamed tannin/acid, but the Produttori had another gear of sweet incense and hard candy. The vintage does remind me of a more approachable’13 from a tannin perspective.

Started a bit sharp but opened nicely. Elegant with an edge.

So freaking good. Explosion of dried flowers, plum, freeze dried strawberry, sage, other herbs, some stone. Outstanding!

Our last meal at the Lone Eagle Grill in Tahoe as it is closing at the end of the month! A great wine with my Blueberry Thyme Elk! Nice berry aromas with a rich long smooth finish. Will miss the restaurant! I’ve not had a bad Produttori wine.

Very good Nebbiolo with hints of cherry, spice, licorice, and pepper. Enjoyable with our meal or simply sipping.
