Nice but was hoping for a bit more refinement and balance. 15% which comes through only a bit. Still some rusticity. But the overall quality of the fruit is high. Would give it a couple more years at least.

Medium ruby color. Aromas of mushrooms, forest floor, black cherries and wildflowers. Leaning toward dried blackberry fruit on the palate with additional notes of black cherry, balsamic vinegar, black pepper and dried herbs. Wonderful salty/earthy note on the long and lingering finish. So complex and lively. Medium bodied and well layered. Chalky tannins. Big 15% alcohol content but who cares? Outstanding vintage from an outstanding producer. Thanks for sharing, Keith S!
