Layers of dark red fruit. Expressed more like a Syrah.

Dark ruby color with nice dark fruit aroma. Strong currant dark cherries and very smooth on the way down. Very good.

Second wine for the night was this Shiraz from Penfolds that was so dense, so rich and edgy. A perfect progression from the over achieving Pinot from Sicilia. It had multiple layers of intense dark fruits, leather and hints of pipe tobacco. Subtle soft tannins that lingered on the finish for minutes.

Okay. We took a break from the Mendoza Malbec, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv by escaping to South Australia for the night drinking this awesome Shiraz we brought with us visiting the Ballard’s in Buenos Aires! Peppered blood! That came to mind drinking it. Ripe raspberry, deep dark cherry and dried figs drenched in earthy tannin and notes of clove. Great time! Had to ignore that look Tammy gave me when I poured the last little bit just in my glass for...you know... for convenience

Bright fruit. Little to no oak. Refined taste and ready to drink or can age.
