It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Deep ink color with a short purple rim and a beautiful nose. Full bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium acidity. Dry and very fruity on the palate, with nice complexity. Showing blueberries, plums, cooked cherries, cola, raisins, figs, chocolates, dark coffee, cedar, vanilla, licorice, eucalyptus and peppercorn. This 10 year old Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking so beautifully now. Rich and extracted, with a soft mouthfeel. Fruit forward and engaging. Needs an hour to open up properly, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Wine Spectator 94 points. Wine Advocate 98 points. Complex and good by itself. Will pair nicely with a big piece of steak. A gorgeous wine. 14.6% alcohol by volume. 95 points. $260.

Had this opened and decanting for 2 hours and it did not feel like enough time for this wine to emerge. Dense and chewy. This wine seemed to hold back but brimming with flavor Saving the next few j have for awhile
