Terrific compliment to salted dark chocolate carmels. One of the best cabs we had in a while. Worth every sip.

After 45 minutes of breathing some really nice notes are starting to emerge: cedar, dark chocolate shavings, espresso, leather, cinnamon-dusted plums, and nuanced vanilla and menthol. Looking forward to seeing how it opens up once more time has elapsed. EDIT: Over two hours in and I’d say it’s fully expressing itself. Excellent wine.

2014 vintage. The perfumed nose announces that this is not your average Napa cab. Light/medium body. Mostly cab with small amounts of merlot, malbec and petit verdot. That perfumed petit verdot comes full circle on the finish adding a velveteen layer. Pretty and with really nice acidity.

Beyond late night... friends??? ;) While drinking wine and rum is questionable, rating them is not.
