Enjoyable tasting event with Far Niente wines tonight. I've had a few Nickel & Nickel, but never any of Far Niente's own wines. Like I mentioned in my previous post, I wonder if age had something to do with this, as again, I was underwhelmed. If I wouldn't of known this was single vineyard cab, I would have guessed a cab, petite sirah/Malbec Blend. Lots of those tart fruit notes on the nose. Fruit is pure, but it was all rhubarb, blackberries and plums. Finish seemed not ready. Need to revisit in no shorter than 5-7yrs.
