Very dark gold color. Camomile and butter dominate the nose, with an off putting metallic tone. This might need a decant and it’s probably just over the hill. Same elements on the palate with mild acidity. Medium depth with some acid on the finish. Not what I was expecting, but probably waited too to drink.

A fantastic bottling that is rich, bright and delicate at the same time. Fully integrated with lovely smoky and mineral notes. Long elegant finish. The winery note states full development by 2022. Agreed but should have staying power for another 4-5 years.

Bumping the ‘15 up a notch - I think highly agreeable

Excellent Chardonnay. A California version of Montrachet. I am not normally a fan of buttery, oaky Chards, but this was really good. Very nicely balanced.

Nice but a bit more butter than I’d like

Was expecting a bit more acidity. A bit soft, ripe apple and pear.

The ‘92 may just have been the best California chard I’ve ever had. There’s a bit more oak on this wine these days.
