Sipping Fine Wine
Since 1979, La Crema Winery producing Burgundian varietals from the cool Sonoma coast. Ruby with berry fruit and spice notes. On the palate flavors of strawberry and cherry with citrus and notes of tea adding a toasty character. Fine tannins, good balance and medium length on finish ending slightly tangy. Good value. Consistent quality.

Lush strawberries and dark cherry on the palate. Slightly chauky on the finish with some leather and some spice. Smooth tannins. Fruit forward. California. No old world character.

This wine pours a clear, light- to medium-red. Its flavors are subtle- a bit of strawberry, maybe some pomegranate. It has a delicate nose and mild, short finish. I guess it’s a definitive Pinot. I didn’t pair it appropriately- had it with chicken breast (lightly seasoned, no sauce), pulled pork pizza, and a New York steak. Probably the barbecue pork pizza was the best combo. I probably won’t go out of my way to get it again. I need a little more flavor. Good wine, not great.

Very Merlot-like in its softness. Strawberry and other red fruit. Better sooner out of the bottle than after it has opened. Some vanilla mixed in.
