Amazingly approachable now with lush palate. Mint, plenty of dried/fresh red fruit medley and namesake violets.

Light reddish in color with light intensity, and fresh red fruits on the nose. Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity. Dry on the palate with mild complexity. Showing red currants, cherries, strawberries light wood, spices, coffee and dark chocolates. Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries. This is a delicious Barolo. Still very young and needs time to mature properly. Elegant and rich. Fresh, easy drinking, and already enjoyable, even by itself. Showing nice complexity and mouthfeel. Needs time to open up properly, so be patient. Good by itself or with food. Would be nice to revisit it in 10 years. 100% Nebbiolo grapes were grown at 1,200 feet of elevation. Vines are 40 to 90 year old vines. Aged for 42 months in large Slavonian wood barrels. 14% alcohol by volume. 92 points. $120.
