Rose, violets, some tart black cherry juice, wild red bramble fruit, cherry pit/marzipan and herbs. Beautiful, smooth, tart, and elegant, delicate tannins. Great structure, and this is drinking so smoothly now though took 3 days to open and could definitely use 3-5 years more cellar time.

Leather, flinty mineral, sour cherries, dark chocolate, wonderful full finish. The “wine of kings”.

I take back anything bad I ever said about Barolo. This is killer. Rose and herbs with hints of raspberry on aeration. Soft red fruits. Tannins weren’t overwhelming. Was perfect with rosemary lemon roast chicken on BGE.

~60 year old vines. Structured and difficult to guess this vintage. Quite a treat. At G.D. Vajra.
