Lots of raspberries, some strawberries, great red fruit, very mellow body, good spice and mushrooms…. I love what Foxen does with there wines!!!

I love these Foxen Pinots. Always quality, always reliable. A nice whiff of smoke on the nose initially to get the party started. Pure Pinot bliss with raspberry and slightly muted strawberry. Dried pomegranate and big herbs. There’s a rustic nature to this with so much foliage and greenery happening here. Pretty impressive for their entry level bottle. The acid here is a bit zippier than I expected, which is quite pleasant. A really good example of what Pinot Central Coast Pinot can be. Not heavy or too much alcohol. Everything is just right. Give this time and air and it’ll really open up. The palate follows the nose closely and matures nicely in the glass. A super nice Pinot that beats a lot of other higher priced bottles.
