Clear, deep ruby to purple in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of black cherries, charred wood, and black plum; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, high tannins tannins, high alcohol, full body and medium intensity primary and secondary flavors of blackberries, blueberries, black cardamom, and tar with a medium finish. This wine is complex, but lacking enough fruit to balance the tannins and alcohol. Overall, I rate this wine as good. Nellie didn't like it.
