Deep Ruby with dark fruit aromas and sweet baking spice notes. On the palate blackberry and black cherry flavors with notes of cinnamon, cacao and earthy spice. Savory full fine tannins on medium finish ending with fruit and forest floor character. Good value. Tasted twice.

On the palate plum, cherry and blackberry flavors with notes of leather, cacao and vanilla spice. Savory ripe fine tannins on long finish ending with fruit and tangy oak. Tasting Sample.

Good day 1, great day 2. This is quite a bit different than what we remember from our first bottle - more old leather character which we both enjoyed. Nose is leather, floral, and stewed dark fruit. Nice chewy mouthfeel. Cherry, fig, baking spice, and acidity. I’d love to have this with a great food pairing. Thinking duck breast with fruit sauce and ancient grains.

This is very good! Black cherry, black raspberry, licorice, with nice acidity and tannins. Pretty well balanced, long finish, easy drinking. Strong oak influence, but tannins aren’t out of place. Interesting to see the variation on ratings for this one.
