Darioush Caravan Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2018

Ratings on Delectable

Daniel P. Drake Delectable Pro

The wine of the evening is the 2018 Darioush Caravan from Napa Valley. The blend of this wine is 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc and 8% Malbec. On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, licorice, all spice, mocha, vanilla and herbs. On the palate I have juicy black fruit, black cherry, blackberry, fig, plum, black currant, chocolate, a hint of green bell pepper and dark soil. This wine is full bodied that has a smooth mouthfeel with medium acidity and medium to medium + fine focused tannins and gives a medium to long black fruit cedar finish. I hope everyone's week ahead is a good one, stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia!
