Rustic nose, with mushrooms, iron, red meat, slightly crunchy read fruit, rose florals and maybe even a hint of crisp red apple. Medium body, and a dark, deep ruby or rose color. Palate is zingy with hints of blood orange, high quality balsamic, honestly bubble gum or some sort of candied flavor, piñon wood, with dark chocolate (like cacao) and a little tar and burnt fennel at the finish. Whew, this is rich and fun, but not so high ABV or weight that it’s overwhelming.
