The 2020 Brouilly Reverdon has a well-defined nose of blackberry and briary fruit, beautifully defined with underlying graphite scents percolating through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a licorice-tinged entry, then very concentrated with black and blueberry fruit towards the finish and a lick of dark chocolate on the aftertaste. Lovely. (Neal Martin, Vinous, May 2023)

Terrific wine, but pretty different from this estate’s Côte de Brouilly cuvées. Extraordinary amounts of juicy, deep purply fruit in the nose. So pure and zingy in the mouth. Nice acids and concentration. Clingy finish. Great value.

From a half bottle. Wonderful expression of Gamay. Fruity, spicy and drinking nicely at the moment.

Strawberry, real light Pinot flavor. Light spice, but that’s probably more the hot links and burnt ends. Very smooth and easy drinking. Buy more. $30 from Grassroots Larder.
