Young with lots of potential. Deep opaque purple color. Nose of oak, tar, clove, anise, Sichuan pepper, plum, and cassis. Tight out of the bottle but opens up nicely. Full body, medium acidity, and refined tannins. High alcohol but well balanced. Even better with a few years in the bottle.
