2016 vintage. Cantemerle is always a good idea if you want value for money. Like many left bank Bordeaux in this great vintage, it tends to close down a bit, so give it some time in the glass or decant. The nose slowly develops after an hour, with a mix of black and red fruit, classy cedar notes, and flowers. As usual, it's all about elegance, but it doesn't lack power either. Still needs a few more years to reveal all its complexity, but very good already. Ab. 13%.

Located in southern Bordeaux Medoc near villages Macau & Ludon, designated a great growth 1855 Classification. Blend; 52% Cab Sauv, 39% Merlot, 5% Cab Franc & 4% Petit Verdot, aged in 40% new oak for 12 months + 4 months in vats before bottling. Rich and dark with berry aromas, complex and enticing. On the palate perfectly ripe blackberry and black cherry with earthy dried herbs, some tobacco and spice. Fine tannins, well balanced with acidity building to a great finish. Very special.

A beautiful, cool early Autumn evening, relaxing by a fire in the chiminea. Grilled raspberry, mashed black cherry, charred cedar, dry garden soil, old forgotten pipe tobacco.

Medium-dark ruby hue. Aromas of blackberry, cassis, earthy, plum, tar. Plus body, full tannins, plus acid. Structured with a long finish. Beautiful bouquet. Needs more time to soften, but drinking well now. Solid value for a Left Bank Bordeaux. 64% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot.

Dark ruby with no sign of age. Tobacco, dark berries, pencil, soil, and a lot of complex aroma. A bit more closer and dark fruit forward than a year ago. A really good wine

My first Bordeaux. On the nose, a little fruity, and I get vanilla, oaky, chocolate smells. Tannins are not soft but not real powerful either. This might benefit from a little more time laying down. I like it though and would definitely buy it again
