Blend of 95% Tempranillo, 4% Graciano and 1% Mazuelo, deep Ruby with garnet edges, aromas of ripe jammy fruits, spice and tobacco notes. On the palate flavors of ripe plum, blackberry and currants with spice, tobacco and cedar notes. Fine big rustic tannins, long finish, savory ending with tobacco and leather notes. Nice!

The nose offers black fruit - plums, currant, blackberries - and a savory spice and herb rack featuring pepper, anise, cinnamon, clove and sage. On the palate, there’s plenty of dark fruit and more savory touches. The tannins are firm and the acidity is refreshing, while the finish lasts a good long while.

NOSE: Chocolate, plum, a little chili pepper (?). Smells good but pretty restrained. TASTE: cedar, muted berries, mustard seed, spices. Strong acidity. The chili powder/BBQ flavor comes through more. This is good but not as good as the regular Beronia (to me), which was much more dramatically flavorful and a good deal for the price. This is nice, and subtler, but not such a great deal. 91.
