This tasty 5 year old Tempranillo from Vega Sicilia & Rothschild, is still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Showing red and black fruits with earth, wood, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, tobacco, graphite and dark coffee. Complex and interesting. Rich and fruit forward. A modern take on Rioja. Better than their Classico version, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. 100% Tempranillo grapes from 40 year old vines. 14% alcohol by volume. 91 points. $120.
