Deep ruby hue. Prominent oak and fruit influences. Fruit is tart and yet candied. Creme de cassis, candied blackberry, freshly picked raspberry, tuber rose, delicate potpourri, cedar box, oak, vanilla, coconut, tobacco leaf, nutmeg, anise, and molasses notes. Consistent on the palate with velveteen tannins and a long finish. Bordeaux blend with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec, and Petit Verdot from Alexander Valley, Sonoma County, Healdsburg, CA. ABV 14.3%. Vintage 2014.
