This was a head scratcher. Don’t think I’ve had a wine like this. It wanted to reveal white chocolate and marzipan, but instead it tasted like green tea/chamomile coated almonds. It had some buttered pear and honeyed melon notes on the finish...very unique.

Tasted at Taylor's visitor's center in Porto, the Chip Dry White carries a bit more discernible sweetness than the other "dry" white Ports I'd sampled that day. It's aged for several years in casks, giving it an oxidative style and subtle nuttiness. Fresh and crisp on the palate, and laden with citrusy, notes, lemon oil and cypress, with a touch of tropical fruit and the merest hint of salinity on the finish. Perfect with a bowl of Marcona almonds. Sample

Pine and rubber on the nose, some caramel after it sits a while. Wished this tasted more refreshing but it gives mostly the flavor of wood chips in water with a few almonds

Delicious as an aperitif, and equally delicious in a port and tonic. Very refreshing on a hot summer day

Very nice nose o bitter almond n an earthy citrus. Good acidity in taste.

Dry, with subtle nuttiness. Fruit, but not overpowering. I like Port. Who would have thought that?
