First time with the 2018 Produttori Langhe. This was rather shy and probably needed more time than our table was willing to give it. Dark fruited with some tar, freshly tilled…almost ashy earth. Hugely tannic. This is a grumpy wine right now. Did I mention it was tannic? A great choice now for the masochistic otherwise I would let these chill for a bit.

This bottle is more silky and persistent than the one we opened 3 weeks ago. Might have to get a few more.

A little shorter than in previous years but still solid, especially with food.

Richer and riper than previous vintages that I can remember... prune notes are prominent. Update: so much better the 2nd day. Stewed fruit notes are much more integrated, and the wine is much more enjoyable. This is one to lay down for a couple years.

Superb! Floral, strawberry compote. Looks like the 2018 Barbarescos will be very promising!!!

Nice ruby color trending into brick. Savory cherry and light prune with good acids and grippy, mineral tannins. Some strawberry, dried thyme and roses. Not tons of tar. From Amaro Spirits and Wine. 04/03/21

Soft Nebbiolo flavors- lightly tannic. Opened up with some air and a little warmth. Seemed to get better and better. Had it with homemade grilled sausage, onions and peppers. Very nice all by its lonesome, too.

I like this one. Deep aromas of strawberry with cherry and cranberry cocktail. Same on the palate with old wooden barn planks evoked. Really it's the fruit and acidity shining here though. A nice pair for our chicken and rice tonight.
