It has been a great day hanging out with my love & best friend for Valentines Day. If I could give anyone young enough advise on selecting partner, marry your best friend you love. Greater degree of happiness & success. ❤️

The White Burgundy was excellent but, still have to have my BSR 375ml. It’s been awhile for us. It is a little better tonight following the Burgundy & soft white cheese. The nose on this bottle really flows out of the glass tonight. Beautiful lean fruits of; blackberries, black cherries, cherries, strawberries, watermelon near the rind, blood orange, orange & tangerine & some pomegranate. Crisp volcanic minerals, saline, sea fossils, baguette crust, vanillin, whiff of caramel, soft white spice, pink flowers and rose pedals. Everything on the palate sings just a little louder tonight as well. Fruits are even a little richer than normal. Ripe & slightly gummy not as normal leaner fruits of; blackberries, black cherries, cherries, strawberries, watermelon near the rind, blood orange, orange & tangerine & some pomegranate. Crisp and grippy, volcanic minerals, beautiful softer, powdery chalkiness w/o quite the sharper edge it normally has, soft, hints of Provence herbs, saline, sea fossils, baguette crust, vanillin, whiff of caramel, soft white spice, pink flowers and rose pedals. The acidity is crisp, lively and dead on as alway. The long, rich, well balanced finish is deliciously refreshing and persists minutes. Photos of; one of their Grand Cru Vineyards at sunset & inside and the Estate grounds of the House of Billecart,

Finally a night or weekend we weren’t working on our rental, rushing to get some Christmas shopping done or getting ready to entertain holiday guests. It’s a night for us to chill out. That’s a good thing. It is also our final night to enjoy all our Christmas candlelights before we pack up tomorrow.

Must be Friday. BSR night. We earned it tonight. We were celebrating the whole IOS 13 update week long Delectable disaster recovery but, there are still some issues. It’s a real challenge to move that score bar. However, it’s not the disaster it was last weekend and most of this week. All my many previous notes apply. Although, it does taste a little better after four miles on the treadmill and hours of landscape maintenance. Photos of, the backend of the House of Billecart, one of their Grand Cru vineyards, and our chill spot in the D & S Lounge. Cheers and happy weekend. Hope you enjoy some nice bottles this weekend.

The NV Billecart-Salmon Rose Champagne is a gorgeous effort and ranks there with the best non-vintage Rose fizz at this price point. A compelling blend of Chardonnay (40%), and Pinot Noir (30%) with the remainder Pinot Meunier, this wine sat one the lees for 36 months prior to disgorgement in February 2018. The delicate and eye-catching pink hue entices alongside the bright red fruits, orange zest and earthy undertones that all collect momentum in the glass. Fresh and lively, with a silky mousse, the wine slowly unveils ripe guava, wild strawberry, peat moss and red cherry candy flavors that longer long on the palate. This outstanding Champagne is glorious now and will provide drinking enjoyment for the next decade. Drink 2019-2029- 92

Just like the African Bush, don’t come to the Egyptian Desert without it. Celebrating the ending of a great trip on the eve of our last day at The Old Cataract on the Nile River with one of our very favorite N/V Rosé Champange’s. Photos of; the pano view of the Nile River from our terrace, Sofia holding our other 375ml bottle BSR we brought from the US, the lobby of the Old Cataract and the grounds of the Old Cataract Hotel. 9.3 on the Billecart-Salmon Rosé and a 9.9 on our trip!
