A surprise! From the 2010 vintage, this had the weight of white burg and density. Acidity of Trebbiano. I was shocked at how good this was.

Firm reduction which doesn’t blow off in a decanter, plenty of saline, briny, cool minerality, savory fruits, citrus and olives. Lots of texture and weight but also very light. Another wonderful expression of what “natural” wine is capable of being.

The slightest bit of reduction that quickly blew off to reveal a beautiful nose of florals, peach and honey. On the palate it makes its presence known but tiptoeing not stomping. Wonderful concentration that reveals layers of fruit and herbs. At this stage I would call it a precocious child.

White peaches, yellow plums, oxidative style. Like an aged Burgundy. Huge minerality. Decanted over 2 hours. Stunning.

Crazy hazelnuts and burnt twig on the nose. Bright intense minerality and acidity right away after opening

Reduction initially, but with air and much swirling, it opened up. Beautiful and balanced. Wait at least 5 years. Formidable structure.

A favorite wine in a great vintage. Good but not great showing on this occasion.
