Dark ruby in color with a short purplish rim. Fruity on the nose with blackberries, blueberries, sweet plums, light oak, chocolates, vanilla, licorice, spices, cloves, peppercorn. Full-bodied with medium acidity and nice legs. Dry to off dry on the palate with sweet cherries, black plums, blackberries, raisins, spices, wood, vanilla, cloves, mocha, chocolates and peppercorn. Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries. This red blend from California is drinking nicely. Simple and drinkable by itself. Not very sophisticated, but always a favorite in a party scenario. Ripe and jammy. Might be sweet for some. A blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.5% alcohol by volume. 83 points. $9.

Perfect social wine for everyone except for my father who is a wine snob. Light and sweet enough for the non-regular red wine drinkers but rich enough for those who want a medium-bodied red that doesn't have a specific pairing and can be consumed by itself. From the first inhale of the delicious scent to the buttery finish, I am a fan.

Really smooth wine, leaves a lovely aftertaste, not too sharp and an easy drinker (the wine not me). In my local corner shop I paid £9.99, a little expensive, I'd expect to see these prices in BP/Marks and Spencer or waitrose, however I like to support my local independent shop so I took a chance and glad I did! BTW I'm not drinking in my local park, it's the only option near my house

Dry? Tannin? Alcohol? Wouldn't spit it out but I wouldn't buy it either.
